This event will take place IN A DEDICATED AREA of 215 Queen's (follow the signs and ask staff). There will be a large quiet area to chill out, network and meet new people as well as for language exchange and culture exchange! There will be karaoke available as well as darts and boardgames. There will also be a separate DJ area with dancefloor!
Those attending in groups of 5 or more will receive FREE DRINKS AND FOOD, however you are most welcome to attend alone to make new friends. To open mic participants:
All performers including (but not limited to) singers, musicians, DJs, dancers, comedians, magicians and circus acts are welcome. ALL PERFORMERS MUST SCHEDULE THEIR PERFORMANCE AHEAD OF TIME.
Must message @eventsinmelb on Instagram to schedule your performance time and arrange setup. Perfomance slots of 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour are available.
Please note we reserve the right to reject any act for any reason or none.
The performers who bring or attract a large audience will receive a paid contract to perform on a regular basis (at least once a month) at 215 Queen's Bar and musical performances which attract the largest crowds stand a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to support international DJ TravellingWill on his world tour in 2025. Performers who attend with at least 10 guests may perform for free and will receive a free drink card. All 10 guests must arrive together prior to the performance. Must message @eventsinmelb on Instagram to schedule your arrival time. Performers who attend with fewer than 10 guests must pay a fee of $100 to perform in front of our large audience. An international exposure package is also available which includes exposure through our social media pages in Melbourne and international exposure in partnership with international DJ TravellingWill.
Speakers and DJ decks are available for use. A sound technician will be available to assist with basic setup. Performers will not be permitted to handle the venue's equipment unless trained.
